The work consists of carved wooden shapes housed in wire mesh boxes on metal bases. Each mesh box has an aluminium Braille plaque on top of the box, which, along with the mesh structure, hinders viewing.

Mesh boxes and braille plaques may only be accessed by readers of Braille and the blind. Thus far the Blind Alphabet project consists of letters A - D
