Original red slipcase with label on cover and on spine of chemise (the latter faded).

Book in red chemise with postcard attached to inner cover. The postcard states: Lincoln Art Series: Alexander Calder. It is addressed to Alex Vörmel, 30 Königsallei, Düsseldorf, Allemagne with cancelled French stamp - Nore-et-Loire dated 21/7/1970. Text: "Dear Alex, I hope the show goes well. Would you send me 10 more catalogs. Guten Bruder Schaft". Signed 'Sandy Calder'.

This is the fifth publication of Harrison of Paris. Designed by Monroe Wheeler, it has been printed in twelve-poing French Round Face, with nine-point italics, by Aimé Jourde, in Paris, in August, 1931. The edition consists of fifty copies (of which thirty are for America) on Guarro's Spanish pur rag paper with coloured silk threads, each copy containing one of the original drawings signed by the artist, I-L; five hundred and ninety-five copies (of which four hundred nd twenty-five are for America) on Auvergne hand-made paper, 1-595; and twenty copies not for sale, and so marked.
