Preface: Print techniques

This cabinet contains fine press and artists' books which demonstrate various graphic techniques, often in relation to fine letterpress printing. These books demonstrate a wide range of technical process and are used to acquaint the viewer with the graphic possibilities available to the artist and printer in order to create or enhance the content of their work.

Note how and why colour or monochrome inks are used in relation to specific texts. These issues can be taken through the exhibition and used in the decoding of a range of image / text relationships.
