The first edition is indicated by: The folded accordion paper of Ruscha's "Sunset Strip" has an extra 2 inch flap of paper folded over behind the last page of the real first edition. The final Jaguar building is pictured alone on this last half page.

All other editions are cut evenly on the final page, including later printings that say "first edition" and dated 1966 and later editions, in front. Apparently the printer made an error in estimating the proper folding length of the printed paper the first time, but this was corrected in subsequent editions. - from the Ursus Catalogue, 2012.
