A set of 324 postcards dated between 1904 and 1907 (from the postmark) with the following anomalies:

Two of the cards ( 1905 & 1906) are 'half' cards which, despite their small size, also went through the mail.

Ten cards do not have postage and were not sent through the mail.

The postage costs are almost universally one half penny but there are a few of one penny.

Most of the postcards are addressed to Miss [M]E[M] Charles (or occasionally Miss Jack Charles) of 62 Dorchester Road, Weymouth, Dorset or ER Charles and [Miss?] Jack Charles Esq. who appears to be her father and brother at the same address.

Number of cards: 1904-28; 1905-162; 1906-86; 1907-39; not posted-8.

The illustrated subjects include: 'Sights' or places, Jokes, 'Pinups' of actresses.
