Additional notes: Hundreds of different editions of Tennyson's poems were published in the late 19th and early 20th century. Tennyson was probably the most famous and publisher of the Victorian poets.
This pocket edition has a soft leather binding with a gold and brown emblem on the cover with gilt titling on the spine. The outer endpapers at both front and back are decorated with a rim of gilt tooling. There is a lithographic illustration of the author opposite the title page. The book is printed on thin 'India' paper allowing for the 600 pages to fit into a very compact package.
The book, especially the delicate binding, is in remarkably good condition.
