The decorations were designed and engraved on wood by the Prnter and Horace Walter Bray, and coloured by hand at Gregynog. Original card slipcase. Vellum cover.

First Edition. 4° (252 x 190mm). Half title, Poliphilus type on Batchelor hand-made paper, 41pp. Limited to 175 copies and scarce in trade. Printed in blue and black with red initial letters and red paragraph marks drawn by Horace Walter Bray. Illustrated with 25 small, figural wood engravings by Robert Ashwin Maynard and Bray, all beautifully handcolored. Bound in full vellum with gilt-stamped spine. Top edge gilt. A fine copy of one of the most beautiful books by Gregynog Press.
