Colophon: Book Number 178 was started in December 1996 and completed in February 1997. It was conceived as black and white drawings composed on a Power Computing PowerTower Pro 225, using PhotoShop 4.0 and Quark Xpress 3.31R. The book was laser printed on a Hewlett Packard MP4 in black and white on 11 x 17" pages. The drawings were water colored. A single copy was bound with a 2-Needle Coptic Sewing II, described in Exposed Spine Sweings.

During the summer of 1999 I experimented with my first color images in PhotoShop. I decided Book 178 should be editioned using digital color rather than water color. In August-October 1999 the images were colored in PhotoShop on a Mac Super 266 G3 Minitower. The start of an edition of 20 was printed on an Epson inkjet onto Stonehenge paper. This copy is printed on Red River paper. Type face is Helvetica and Stone San.
