The first book of the press. Harry Duncan's Copy.

Although not inscribed to Harry Duncan, it is his copy, purchased from the printer to whom Duncan gave it. Walter Hamady has verified that Copy No. 3 is the copy he sent to Duncan. Brown wrappers of Canson MI-Teintes paper, hand-sewn by the author. Printed on Caslon Old Style from the Detroit Type Foundry handset and printed on the Chandler & Price at Wayne State University (at that time Hamady was here as an undergraduate student) on white bond offset. Glue has stained through to some pages, and the photograph and two etchings have come loose as the glue has dried out. Housed in a custom-made clamshell box. A scarce book.
