Pages: unpaged Size: 105mm, oblong Inscription: Signed by the artist Edition: Unique
Place publication: Ellensburg, WA Publisher: Icosa Studio
Additional notes: Colophon: The pages of this book were torn down from sheets of Rives de Lin and packed into a small box that would stow safely under the car seat druing the drive from Denver to Chicago. Watercolrs, graphite and colored pencils provided for the rest of the portable studio. A book model sewn on tapes supplied the blank pages for notes and the detailed daily log that would condense into this one-of-a-kind book.
Although many of the images were made in transit, I am indebted to Jim Sahlstrand for encouraging impromptu stops at places too interesting to pass at highway speed.
The colograph plates were made in my studio and printed on the Glen Alps Intaglio press. The black linen case paper was made at the Iowa Center for the Book. Typesetting was done by Nancy Bracken in 8 point Helvetica and printed on positive film by Dave Mitchell at IMC Media Production, Central Washington University.
