Additional notes:
Colophon: The type is Gill Sans as cast by M & H while the paper is from Indian Village. The cover stock is formed by Brian Borchardt to emulate the crown of thorns with the spikes coming from the 1867 "Common -School Grammar" by Simon Kerl. The 14 double-page color illustrations are from reduction linoleum blocks that are printed with a heavy hand to produce a more painterly image. The found inclusions may seem cryptic but are purposeful and like the detritus of one's life.

Housed in a black leather box lined with black cloth with a matching leather lid and containing a metal (barbed-wire) crown of thorns which are painted red/brown in part and a rosary beneath the book.

See Joshua Heller - A Spring 2009 List - Item 18.
