Stephane Mallarmé's "Un Coup de dés jamais n'abolira le hasard" revolutionized the art of the book. The poem first appeared in Cosmopolis, no. 17 (May 1897), pages 417-427, a multilingual journal published in London from 1896-1898. A facsimile of the full text appears on the preliminary pages of this catalogue.
