Something Else Press was founded in 1963 by Dick Higgins and was the cornerstone of post-war experimental art, publishing a who's who from the period's literary and artistic avant-gardes. Although the press folded in 1974, it left behind an outsize influence and continues to shape how we think about artists' books to this day. Its books are long out of print, making this reader a must-have.
