Additional notes:
This book is impossible to describe or catalogue and must be seen. It is a spoof on book production, librarians, typography (especially "g") and much more. Illustrated, collage, embossing, staples, tab, stitching, label, grommet, thumbprint, gatefold etc. Certain items have superscript numbers which are explained in a small booklet (9pp): "NOTES" contained in a library pocket marked "Cards Temporarily Withdrawn". Three stitched signatures containing eleven different papers.

The series number (FIVE) is indicated in an embossing on the title page as well as in the title (5).

The cover has a unique collage on each cover in the edition.

Description in Basilisk Press Catalogue (3/505): Made for Mother's day 1981. Very hard boards (I think they were room dividers in another incarnation) bound with string. No two pages alike in colour but all hand made by the Hamadys. The book, the most recent in an occasional series, is an anecdotal collection of stories, poems, experiments in typography and illustration. Curiosities are bound in: including a small American flag, a pocket full of goodies, and an extra title page 'for librarians to do their special graffito'. If you like books to be formal, buy this only if you wish to make your adrenalin race. If you like them to explore new concepts, buy this for pleasure.
