Additional notes:
This document is the final product of over twenty-four hours of interviews with Walter Battiss, taped aover a period of about two months. In cooperation with the Fook Madgic Press. Printed by the Central Print Unit of the University of the Witwatersrand.

The photographs of Battiss on the front cover are by Manie Eager and the photomontage was by Barry Davidow. They were taken on the occasion of the photograph at Giotto Hill when Battiss was demonstrating how he had posted nude for Jean Welz (probably in Cape Town). This photograph shows our Welz drawing in the background - it is item 1033 in the art database: Portrait of Walter Battiss.

The second photograph from the top on the right labeled "Ferd the Third" is identifiable from the pose and the background items; the angle is slightly different.

This publication was printed by the Central Print Unit of the University of the Witwatersrand at 1 Jan Smuts Ave., Johannesburg.
