Proto FOOK Script

Item date(s): n.d.

Walter Whall Battiss  (1906-1982) - (text by)

Pages: single sheets
Size: 295mm and 380mm
Language: English; Fook

Place publication: not stated
Publisher: The artist

Additional notes:
The first sheet was developed before Battiss finalised his FOOK script as many of the letters differ from the final version, viz: C D E G H M N R S Z.

Three texts have been transliterated into FOOK script:

1. I send you fresh honey and little singing birds from the bushes.

2. Twelve white female camels.

3. NEOLOGY. Giraffe. Zebra. January. December.

A second larger folded sheet with the same unintelligible script despite a few of the letters being individually decipherable. The main problem in deciphering the script is that it is not linear and appears more like a drawing or design using individual letters.
