3. Worm-eaten leaves not unattractive. With specimen. 27 Feb 1943

4. Striga Lutea Lour. With Specimen. 27 Feb 1943. [1.3.43 deleted]. 380mm Found down Mackenzie Road Extn. near the road at the same time but far apart. There are obvious variations.

5. Striga Lutea (Lour). With specimen. 2 March 1943. 380mm. I was struck at once by the richness of this one's flowers & its looseness. The other Striga seems to be so tight in appearance.

None of the drawings are signed but the cursive script is Battiss's.
