Reference note:
A draft letter to galleries. June 1984.

I have been involved with Belinda and Giles Battiss in sorting and cataloguing items of artistic interest from the home and studio of Walter Battiss. We are collating reference material and working towards the compilation of a catalogue raisonne. Please would you let us have relevant details of works by Walter Battiss in your collection. Would it be possible for us to acquire photographs of the works for record purposes? S.E.

Together with a list of art galleries from the Southern African Museums Association dated 28/11/1983.
