Reference note: The Cycad Collection was envisaged as the first of a number of botanical volumes. This single volume is possibly one of the rarest books on the subject in the form of a Florilegium. It took a total of five years to complete as each of the completed lithographic images is hand-coloured. Due to the labour-intensive process, the full edition has yet to be conceptualised and will probably never be realised.
