However, there are many other pages of clearly less refined work. Nevertheless, the sketch book might be of interest a future art historian re-assessing Nerine Desmond's life and work."

An interesting feature of nine of the drawings in charcoal is the intentional offset on the opposite page; some are full page and some partial. One is of particular interest being offset on both verso-recto and recto-verso pages. A few pages are blank.
