The design was adapted by Audrey Holden & Claire Van Vliet from a quilt by Lucy Mooney in 1935 in Gee's Bend, Alabama. The base sheet is Barcham Green's DeWint with onlays of Chlyogami, Twinrocker, McGregor, Vinzani and Janus papers; printed at The Janus Press in Newark Vermont in an edition of one hundred copies.
