The engravings originated in 2012 based on sketches drawn in 2011 and 2012. Like the letterpress prints in the standard edition, they were printed on Cobham white paper from F.J. Head & Company, 100g/m2. The letterpress prints in the deluxe edition are being published on Saunders handmade papers, 75 g/m2. The photos and text are photocopies taken from Fridtjof Nansen's "Farthest North". London, 1898. The text was printed on Zerkall mould-made papers, 170 g/m2. An edition of 22 copies, signed and numbered in Arabic numerals. 5 deluxe editions, signed and numbered were produced.

The pages fold into the book sequentially from the left and the right.

The book is bound in red canvas and housed in a wooden box with a removable top held in place with magnets.
