The specimens were folded by the authors from a variety of papers.

Claudia Cohen bound each copy in her Seattle studio.

David Clifford at Black Stone Press in Vancouver printed the text on Arches mouldmade.

The book, the folder and the samples are contained in a decorated, partitioned box with fitted lid.

The folder titled Zhen Xian Bao contains samples in a folded pamphlet with purple cover.
