The text was derived from the paper "On Physical Lines of Force," written by Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell in 1861.

The type is hand-set in Univers. Images are printed from linoleum blocks and photopolymer plaes made of drawings of power lines. The paper is Sakamoto and the pages are assembled in a Simplified Binding. Printing operations were made possible by the steadfast Vandercook 4T, number 14205.

Housed in a gray cloth solander case.
