Text in the stylised drawn outline of a figure: Dear John, Ive ruined the oil of N. Y! Sorry about that. Please forgive me. Perhaps you would prefer one of my oils or watercolours (R300) about before they go to Gallery (R500+) about. Big love. W.B. in one foot and W.B. in the other foot.

Text outside of figure, vertically: on 7 October my Botswana stamps will be on sale. A Set of 4.

Note by Warren Siebrits: letter with drawing sent o long time collector and friend John Wickens whose painting from his deceased estate "African Figures" (1956) achieved R2,560,000 at Strauss & CO on 12 Nov. 2012. This letter also contains accurately the issue of WB's Botswana stamps as 7 October 1980.
